Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is believed to be plotting an £8.8million summer move for Wolfsburg's Brazilian playmaker Diego.
Reports in Brazil have linked the Reds with the 26-year-old attacking midfielder, who seems set to depart the German outfit in the summer transfer window.
Diego is believed to have angered Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath after refusing to take a place on the bench in a league tie with Hoffenheim and the Bundesliga side are ready to cash in on the midfielder after snapping him up for 15.5m in August from Juventus.
Liverpool were believed to be keen on Diego last summer but Wolfsburg won the battle for his signature, but it would now seem as if his time with the German side is over after a solitary season.
Wolfsburg are believed to value Diego at around 10m (approx £8.8m), which is unlikely to prove a stumbling block for Liverpool.
