Liverpool's latest pass master Joe Allen has been in fine form in recent weeks, introducing himself to the Anfield faithful by showcasing his superb passing range - but which Red has been the greatest passer of them all?
The club's footballing philosophy was built on pass and move. New manager Brendan Rodgers stated upon his arrival that he wanted his side to "pass opponents into submission".
Triangles of slick, direct passing has been the aim of the game at Anfield for decades but certain players have shone even brighter than the rest in the passing stakes.
Down the years we've watched players who would carve opposition defences in two with a pin-point through ball, pick holes in back fours with intricate, weighted passes or spray a ball from the Kemlyn Road touchline to the Main Stand corner flag.
