Former Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy has spoken of his delight at seeing the club return to the roots of its success with the appointment of Kenny Dalglish as manager.
The Welshman fulfilled a lifelong dream when he signed for the team he supported as a boy in 2006 - but he spent just a year at Anfield before being sold to West Ham.
He still keeps an eye out for the club's results, however, and has been thrilled with the recent turn of events in L4.
"I supported Liverpool as a kid. It's great to see Dalglish there," said Bellamy, who scored nine goals in 42 appearances for the Reds.
"I love the Boot Room mentality, that was Liverpool Football Club. When you support a club, you have to understand what made it so great - Shankly coming, the Boot Room.
"They'd all sit in a room, and two or three of them would go on to win the European Cup! What conversations must they have had? From a shoebox, they created a club."
