Birmingham duo Barry Ferguson and Cameron Jerome lauded the performance of Pepe Reina after the Liverpool goalkeeper's heroics in Sunday's goalless draw at St Andrews.
The Spanish stopper produced two top drawer saves and another crucial intervention en route to keeping a clean sheet.
Jerome was one of those denied, and he said: "Pepe is one of the best 'keepers in the world and it showed.
"He made three or four brilliant saves, and barring that we walk away with the three points. It's one of those things and you take it on the chin.''
Ferguson added: "The goalkeeper was outstanding. He made three or four great saves. I think we deserved to win the game, but the goalkeeper was outstanding.''
