Michael Owen might have scored two goals on Saturday but as anyone who went to the game could tell you, the England striker could have scored five goals against Blackburn.
Three times former Liverpool 'keeper Brad Friedel came to Blackburn's rescue when Owen threatened to turn the match into a rout but Anfield boss Houllier insists he's not bothered how many chances Owen spurns as long as he's in the right place at the right time.
"It's a hallmark of all great strikers that they can miss a lot of chances and then recover mentally to score the next one," claims Gerard. "Bill Shankly always used to say that if a striker is missing chances, it is because he is getting into positions to score. I'd be more worried if Michael wasn't getting into positions to have those chances."
