Sotirios Kyrgiakos wouldn't be surprised if Javier Mascherano and Maxi Rodriguez return to Melwood with World Cup winner's medals.
Kyrgiakos will go head-to-head with his Anfield teammates when Greece play Argentina in the first round - and he is wary of the attacking talent in Diego Maradona's squad.
"Argentina are a very good side with many good attacking players," said the 30-year-old defender.
"There's Tevez, Messi, Aguero, Di Maria and many others, so any team in the tournament will have a difficult game against them."
Meanwhile, Kyrgiakos believes Greece have an outside chance of causing an upset - just like they did by winning Euro 2004.
He added: "Well, we're in a group with Argentina, South Africa and Nigeria. Our aim has to be to get out of the group first.
"From there, as we proved in the 2004 European Championships, anything can happen.
"The people are very proud that we have qualified for only the second time, so we can't let them down."
