Fernando Torres looked ahead to the prospect of making his 100th Liverpool appearance against Wigan Athletic tonight and admitted: 'I don't see myself playing anywhere else.'
Though the 25-year-old acknowledges the Reds' form has fluctuated so far this season, El Nino is adamant the only thoughts on his mind are ones of helping Rafa Benitez's side get their campaign back on track.
"Right now I don't see myself playing elsewhere," declared Torres on his official website.
"Now I just want to improve the side's current standing and hopefully we'll all remain here together.
"It's not been a great season so far. We are out of two competitions, the Carling Cup and the Champions League, and we are also a little off the pace in the league. But we still have the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League to look forward to.
"We have to focus on what lies ahead instead of looking back at what we can no longer win. The team have not done the business in the league, but the season is still young."
Torres admits Liverpool's season has so far panned out differently to what had been anticipated - but the No.9 is confident the Reds have the right man at the helm to revive their fortunes and end the campaign on a high.
"It looked like this was going to be our season, but it's turned out very differently from what we expected," he said.
"We've lost more games this season than in the previous two put together, but we have to keep pushing forward.
"Rafa's going to prove just why he is so well respected in the game, and he's going to turn this situation around.
"I still have four years left on my contract and my future is here, it's not linked to Rafa's, but I hope that we can see out our contracts here together."
