Sebastian Giovinco will not leave Juventus for Premier League giants Liverpool any time soon, Goal.com can exclusively reveal.
Reports in Thursday's Corriere Dello Sport claim Reds boss Rafael Benitez is masterminding a January swoop for the Italian youngster. It is that said Diego's summer arrival has prompted the playmaker to reconsider his future as the prospect of regular pitch-time is now slim.
However, Goal.com spoke exclusively with one of the player's agents, Luca Pasqualin, who rubbished the report, claiming Giovinco is happy at Juventus.
"I don't think there is much to read into the reports in the sense that Giovinco will remain at Juventus," Pasqualin told Goal.com.
"I don't know who came out with the news, but I can say that Giovinco will stay in Turin. That is the truth.
"To be honest I have not read the article, but even if I did, I wouldn't have read too much into it.
"Giovinco is a Juventus player and he has the faith of the coach and the club.
"[As for Liverpool], there are no real comments to make. He will stay at Juve."
