I've followed in the footsteps of Kenny Dalglish and signed up to Twitter, writes John Aldridge in the Echo.

My son and his mate persuaded me to join after a couple of drinks over the weekend.

I'm on there as 'realjohnaldo' so you know it's definitely me and not an imposter.

I can't believe I'm on it but I'm going to have a bit of fun with it and comment on games over the course of the season.

After all if Kenny does it then it can't be that bad.
