According to the agent of Alberto Aquilani, if Juventus fail to meet Liverpool's asking price for the midfielder, he will return to Merseyside in the summer.
Aquilani is currently on loan from Liverpool in Turin and recent reports have suggested that Juventus are unwilling to cough up the €16million which would secure the player's permanent rights, as agreed by the two clubs last summer.
And the player's agent, Franco Zavaglia, has reiterated that both clubs know the fee needed to own the rights of Aquilani, it's simply a question of whether the Bianconeri want to pay up. If not, he will likely be a Liverpool player again next season.
"The clubs reached an agreement some time ago. But if Juventus won't buy him, Alberto will return to England despite having a great desire to play in Italy. I don't think any other Italian club will consider the possibility of buying him," Zavaglia told Radiomercato.com.
Liverpool bought the Italy international from Roma in 2009 for €25m, but after an injury-hit stint in England, he was loaned to Juventus last summer and has become a regular in the Old Lady's starting line-up.
