Liverpool are readying a January bid for two young Barcelona talents who are keen on seeking regularly first team football according to Sports Direct News.
Brendan Rodgers is interested in signing defender Martin Montoya and attacker Cristian Tello as he seeks to strengthen his Anfield squad whilst also adhering to Liverpool's youthful transfer policy.
Interest in right-back Montoya is perhaps driven by the fact that the 22 year old is out of contract in the summer whilst Tello, who is tied down to a longer deal, may be available on a loan deal as Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino looks to offer the forward some much needed top tier experience.
Liverpool have started the season in strong fashion but Rodgers may well feel that a move to bring in January additions would aid their push to secure a Champions League spot.
Interest in Tello could be further fueled by the recent injury suffered by Daniel Sturridge though there is perhaps less of an urgent need for a new right-back given that Rodgers can call upon the likes of Glen Johnson, Martin Kelly and John Flanagan to fill the role.
