ClubCall: Anderlecht ace on the radar

Liverpool will battle it out with Arsenal for the signature of Anderlecht defender Cheikhou Kouyate, his agent has claimed.

Kouyate has been heavily linked with a move to England for the last few months and his agent, Saffet Balkan, says talks have now begun over a potential move to either Anfield or the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester City and Southampton have also expressed an interest in the talented 24-year-old, however, it would appear that Arsenal and Liverpool are in the box seat at this stage.

"We are discussing with the representatives of Arsenal and Liverpool, in particular the first are very interested in him," Balkan said.

"I also had contact with Manchester City and Southampton, so he's very likely to arrive in the Premier League shortly."
