Liverpool are being linked with a double swoop on Cardiff for keeper David Marshall and defender Steven Caulker in the summer.
Caulker only joined the Bluebirds last summer but he has a release clause in his contract which allows him to leave if they were relegated and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is considering a move to strengthen his leaky defence.
Marshall is a slightly more unlikely purchase as Simon Mignolet has done an excellent job between the posts this season, although he has come in for some occasional criticism, whereas Marshall has made more saves than any other keeper in the Premier League.
Cardiff do not want to sell but may have little choice and Liverpool are not alone as the vultures are circling in South Wales.
