QPR midfielder Stephane Mbia is pushing himself forward for a move to Anfield by claiming he would be 'proud' to play for Liverpool.
The Cameroon international was one of many QPR stars who left the Loftus Road club on loan when they were relegated a year ago and he has spent the last 12 months at Sevilla in Spain.
It has been a successful season for Mbia and he will be in the Europa League final with Sevilla against Benfica later this month, but he has made it clear what he wants to do in the future.
"Playing in the Champions League, that's my goal," he told Estadio Deportivo.
"Liverpool? For me, it is a pride. Liverpool are a great team that will play the Champions League."
In the same interview he expressed an interest in a possible move to Everton as well, while the defensive midfielder fuelled talk his next club could be on Merseyside when he attended the derby between the two sides at Goodison Park earlier this season.
