Liverpool are eyeing up a move for resurgent Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou but face a battle with Spurs to land him.
Both the Reds and Spurs are aware that the Ivory Coast international is out of contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer and can therefore move on a free transfer and both clubs are closing in with offers, while Arsenal are also said to be very keen.
Chelsea would like to keep him in West London, especially since his form during the second half of the campaign has been excellent, but so far the 26-year-old has not agreed any new terms.
Kalou's Chelsea career looked as good as over under Andre Villas-Boas but since Roberto Di Matteo took over as boss he has had a new lease of life.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish is after more firepower up front as his side have been short of goals this season and if he can land Kalou without a fee it will be a bonus.
