Liverpool have been linked with a move for Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, who has indicated he could be on the move this summer.
The Anfield outfit are set to bring in midfield reinforcements following Steven Gerrard's decision to join MLS side LA Galaxy when his contract comes to an end.
Liverpool have already been credited with an interest in Miralem Pjanic and the Telegraph have now suggested the Bosnian's teammate, Nainggolan, could also be a target for boss Brendan Rodgers.
The 26-year-old, who is co-owned by Roma and fellow Serie A side Cagliari, has fuelled speculation he could be set to exit the Stadio Olimpico at the end of the campaign by telling Gazzetta dello Sport that there is only a "50 per cent chance" he will remain with the club.
He said: "Will I stay at Roma? At the moment there's a 50 per cent chance.
"However, I'm not worried as there's still time. Roma and Cagliari have to find an agreement. I'm 100 per cent focused on Roma, it's a great club, a great team and a beautiful city to live in."
If Liverpool do make a move for Nainggolan they are likely to face competition for his signature, as a number of clubs have been linked with the Belgium international in recent months.
