Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is being linked with a January move to land Aston Villa keeper Shay Given.
The former Republic of Ireland keeper can not get a look in even on the bench at Villla Park and is desperate to move on, with Reds boss Rodgers apparently set to renew his interest in bringing him to Anfield as the cover for Simon Mignolet.
Current No.2 Brad Jones only signed a new deal with Liverpool back in the summer so it would be something of a surprise if the Reds were to move for Given, who still has two-and-a-half-years left on his Villa deal.
Given had looked set to join Championship side Doncaster in the summer before a takeover of the South Yorkshire club by an Irish consortium.
