Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to do battle with Tottenham for the services of West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

The England U21 star has apparently called a halt to contract talks at the Hawthorns and is now said to be looking for a move away to what he considers a bigger club.

Both Rodgers at Anfield along with Mauricio Pochettino are said to be very keen on Berahino who is top scorer for the Baggies with eight goals to his name.

A product of the youth system at West Brom, Berahino has been there all his career but has been left out of the starting line up for the past three matches and now wants to move on, his present contract runs out in 2017.
