Liverpool are poised to make an offer for Parma's former Chelsea and Swansea striker Fabio Borini.

The 21-year-old player has been on loan at Roma, whose £7m option to buy him ends today.

Currently a member of Italy's Euro 2012 squad, Borini spent a successful stint at Swansea under the tutelage of new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
