Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is planning a £20million double swoop on the Eredivisie by trying to bring Luuk de Jong and Rasmus Elm to Anfield.
The Reds have been told they will have to pay at least £12.5million if they are serious about signing Holland and FC Twente striker De Jong.
The 21-year-old has caught the eye of scouts from a number of major clubs by scoring 23 times in 29 league matches this term.
Liverpool are among the sides monitoring his progress, as Kenny Dalglish searches for a prolific goalscorer to play alongside Luis Suarez.
De Jong fits the profile of young player the Reds are keen to bring in and, with Dalglish set to be handed a £20m transfer kitty for the summer, they could afford to match Twente's valuation.
And Kop boss Dalglish was in Holland on Sunday to watch another target - £8m-rated AZ Alkmaar midfielder Elm.
The Swede, 24, was identified as a potential signing by Liverpool's axed director of football Damien Comolli but there is also interest from Spain and Italy.
