The performance against Manchester United was excellent.
It was really, really good. You could not ask for more from the players and it was just unfortunate that their efforts were not rewarded.
It did not look like 10 against 11 for much of the time and that is something to be delighted about.
Ultimately we shot ourselves in the foot a little bit, but every single one of the players were excellent.
So many of the performances, from Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez for example, did not deserve to be losing ones. Glen Johnson had one of his best games for the Reds, Suso came on and showed some promise whilst Raheem Sterling was terrific.
There were lots of positives from the game but we still find ourselves languishing in the bottom three.
I believe there are good times to come, but we may have to wait 12 months to really see this.
