Liverpool U18s coach Steve Cooper is looking for more of the same from his youngsters when they entertain Manchester City at the Academy on Saturday (11am).
The Reds go into the game on the back of successive wins over Fulham and Middlesbrough and they will be looking to avenge last month's 2-0 defeat away to City.
After last weekend's break due to inter-national fixtures, Cooper's side are ready to carry on where they left off.
"We didn't play last week but the lads have kept their focus and have been training hard," said Cooper.
"Even though we lost to Manchester City earlier in the season, it was actually a very good performance on the day. A couple of errors cost us in the end.
"Performances have been decent all season and in recent weeks we've been getting the results to go with them. The lads are full of confidence.
"They are always good games against City and we're looking forward to going up against them again.
"The players have been working very hard and they've shown the right attitude which is all you can hope for. Hopefully we can take all that good work into the game."
Defender Lloyd Jones will return to action for the Reds after his efforts with Wales U19s.
Nathan Quirk, Jack Dunn and Jordan Williams are all sidelined by injury.
"We're missing a few but it's not a problem," added Cooper.
"It's an opportunity for others to show what they can do. It's what full-time football is all about."
