MIRALEM PJANIC has put Liverpool and Manchester United on red alert.
The Roma man looks set to depart Serie A, according to Corriere dello Sport in Italy.
The 24-year-old Bosnia international has a contract until 2018 but has been lined up as one of Brendan Rodgers' summer targets.
Rodgers has to replace Steven Gerrard this summer, with the Anfield hero leaving the club for LA Galaxy.
And Pjanic is seen as an option in that department.
Valued at around £37m Roma would prefer he stayed put.
However after a poor week they sit 14 points below Juventus in second place and only five above fourth spot Sampdoria, leaving their Champions League hopes uncertain.
Last summer Pjanic was linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports.
However with Barca under embargo and the European champions well stocked in midfield he may be looking towards a Premier League switch.
