Express: Reds set for Milner swoop

Liverpool are set to sign Manchester City midfielder James Milner on a free in the summer to replace outgoing Steven Gerrard.

Milner's time at City looks to be coming to an end, and even though many clubs are keeping tabs on his contract situation, Liverpool are the front-runners to sign the 29-year-old.

And according to the Daily Mirror, Milner has decided to leave the Etihad at the end of the season. Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has reported promised regular playing time for Milner if he were to make the move to Anfield.
