Liverpool and Arsenal are ready to pay £22million to bring Juan Iturbe to the Premier League next season, according to the player's agent.
Both clubs were linked with moves for Iturbe last season after he impressed at Hellas Verona.
But they were beaten to the punch by Roma, who forked out £22m to land the Argentine ace.
Things have not gone to plan in Rome, however, and there has been some suggestion that Roma could look to cash in on the player.
And while Iturbe's agent, Gustavo Mascardi, thinks it's more likely that he will stay he says there are two English clubs - thought to be Arsenal and Liverpool - ready to ensure Roma don't end up out of pocket if they decide to sell.
He told Radio Crc: "I think he'll stay at Roma next year.
"[But] there are two teams in England who want him and would be willing to pay the fee that Roma did for him."
Earlier this month Mascardi said: "Iturbe is a champion who has had a difficult season due to injury.
"It was not well understood by the technical staff and that did not give him confidence.
"Will he leave? There are very good proposals from England for him.
"We'll see what Iturbe and Roma decide."
