Express: Trio in race for star

Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are facing an uphill battle to prise Nemanja Matic from Benfica with French giants PSG confirming their interest in the player.

The 25-year-old was an integral part of the Benfica side that reached the Europa League last final and his stock has continued to rise.

Liverpool have Matic in their sights but it seems the Premier League giants will have to fend off interest from PSG for Matic, with Laurent Blanc admitting he is a fan of the player.

"Matic is a good player," he told reporters.
