Fiorentina are expected to announce the signing of Liverpool defender Emiliano Insua later today, according to reports in Italy.
La Viola president Pantaleo Corvino confirmed on Tuesday that talks over the Argentina international's £5million move had stalled due to his refusal to accept a pay-cut but the 21-year-old has since agreed personal terms and will earn £35,000-a-week with the Serie A outfit.
Roy Hodgson had previously admitted that he liked Insua on both on a professional and personal level from his own dealings with the left-back but revealed that talks to sell him to Fiorentina had taken place before he was appointed Liverpool manager.
Insua leaves Anfield with 62 appearances to his name following his move from Boca Juniors in 2007 in exchange for Gabriel Paletta.
