Galatasaray are lining up a summer bid for long-term Liverpool target Keisuke Honda, reports talkSPORT.
The 25-year-old Japanese international playmaker is expected to leave CSKA Moscow at the end of the season, with a host of top European clubs weighing up bids for his signature.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish tried to bring Honda to Anfield during the January transfer window, but faced competition from Serie A side Lazio.
However, after talks broke down with the Italian outfit, Liverpool were back in pole position to negotiate a deal, but failed to get the transfer completed before the window slammed shut.
The Premier League side are expected to renew their interest in the £9million rated midfielder in June, but according to reports in Turkey, Galatasaray are hoping to hijack the move.
Honda is well known for his set-piece prowess, and will add some much needed creativity and firepower to the Liverpool midfield, providing the club wins the race to land him.
