Veteran midfielder Dietmar Hamann has expressed his desire to keep on playing for at least another season - but only at a high level.
The 36-year-old former German international is without a club after being released by Manchester City at the end of last season.
The former Liverpool player has already ruled out a reunion with former City boss Sven Goran Eriksson at Notts County as he wants to play at a higher level.
But he told Mittelbayerische Zeitung newspaper that he wants to continue in the game if the right offer comes in.
He said: "I would really like to play on for one or even two years, but just if there is the right offer coming in.
"I have the desire to further play on at a high standard. I had been in touch with Markus Babbel and VfB Stuttgart in August, unfortunately the club decided the other way then."
Hamann added: "I am not going to make any statements on hypothetical chances, but if there is a club with a name and a tradition such as 'Sechzig' (TSV Munich 1860 of Bundesliga 2) I would really start to think about it."
With an eye to the future, Hamann also revealed he is going through coaching seminars near his English home.
