The agent of Udinese star Mauricio Isla has told The International Business Times UK that Liverpool are amongst the 23-year-old's numerous admirers.
In an email exchange with the IBTimes UK, the player's representative, Leonardo Rodriguez, confirmed Liverpool were one of the Chilean international's suitors alongside a host of 'other clubs from Italy'.
While happy to confirm Liverpool are interested in the impressive Serie A midfielder, Rodriguez inferred he had not received a formal approach from Kenny Dalglish during last month's transfer window, and claimed he was unsure if the Premier League giants had registered their intent to sign the right-sided Isla in last month's transfer window.
"I believe that he is being watched by Liverpool and by other clubs from Italy." Rodriguez informed the IBTimes UK Sport.
"I can't be sure that any clubs are getting in contact [with Udinese]."
In the January transfer window last month, Isla's agent revealed 'that some English clubs have asked about him', according to Skysports.com, but claimed Udinese were eager to retain the hugely talented and equally versatile midfielder, who has won 31 caps for Chile.
At the beginning of February, the Daily Mail claimed Liverpool were preparing a £12 million deal for Isla in the summer, and Rodriguez told the IBTimes UK that the player's future would be clearer 'near the next' transfer window.
"Near the next market we will be able to inform with more accuracy." The Udinese star's agent said.
In addition to Liverpool, Lokomotiv Moscow have been linked, while Udinese's Serie A counterparts Roma are rumoured to be amongst Isla's admirers.
