Liverpool new boy Milan Jovanovic insists he is happy to play anywhere in Roy Hodgson's side.
Jovanovic made his debut in Liverpool's friendly defeat to Kaiserslautern on Saturday in a left-sided winger role rather than in attack.
The Serbia international admits he will have no problem playing on the left wing as he settles into life at Anfield.
"It doesn't matter which position I play," said Jovanovic. "That is a question for the coach. Of course, I have my own opinion but it won't be a problem if I have to play on the left wing again.
"Maybe with a bit of time and when I know all the small things about playing in that position, then it will help me.
"The main thing at the minute is for me to get the feeling of the team. It's not going to be easy because everything is new and we don't have much time.
"There is a good atmosphere and a good feeling at the club. I am really grateful to everyone for helping me feel so welcome. The coach, the players, everybody has been brilliant.
"When I get more practice and I am fitter, I am confident that I can help that team. I have never doubted my ability."
