Reading keeper Adam Federici has dismissed recent speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool to be their number two.
The Royals keeper was outstanding in the two recent FA Cup clashes with the Reds and that led to speculation that he was being lined up as an understudy to Pepe Reina with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez set to pay out £2m to land him.
Despite rumours to the contrary, Federici says there has been no contact with Liverpool and nor does he expect any.
"It's been quite interesting to read about the stuff but I've had no contact from anyone," he told the Chronicle.
"Of course it's good to see your name in the papers and it's fantastic to be linked with a club like Liverpool, but I'm a Reading player and I'm sure I will be for a long time."
