Liverpool are moving closer to a £3.5 million deal for Fulham defender Paul Konchesky, according to a report from Sky Sports.
The broadcaster maintains that a deal for the player is edging nearer with Reds boss Roy Hodgson keen to bring the two-time England international to Anfield.
A new left-back has become a priority for the Reds this summer, with the club also rumoured to be interested in PSV's Carlos Salcido.
However, Konchesky is believed to have informed Fulham boss Mark Hughes, who is apparently keen to retain the left-back's services after a bid from Birmingham City was turned down earlier in the summer, that he wishes to speak to the Merseyside side club about a switch.
