Liverpool interest confirmed in 'special' Ajax winger

Liverpool are reportedly in the running for Ajax teenager Ricardo Kishna after his agent confirmed the Reds' interest.

The 16-year-old is being pursued by several clubs from the Barclays Premier League and across the continent and has been earmarked as a future star in the making.

Although he was not at liberty to reveal whether or not Liverpool had made an enquiry about his client, Kishna's representative Wessel Weezenberg confirmed the Anfield club were monitoring the starlet, before adding: "But that's not really news. Ricardo is a special talent.

"There are other clubs that are interested in him."

The investment in youth has been outlined as a top-priority by Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Groups and the club are scouring the globe for the cream of teenage talent.

Kishna appears to have been shortlisted by Liverpool alongside the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Omri Altman as potentially shrewd acquisitions.
