Liverpool have reportedly moved to allay their goal scoring woes with a loan move for Inter Milan striker Luc Castaignos - a transfer target for Everton.
The Anfield club's leading goalscorer Luis Suarez has just started an eight-game ban, while £35m striker Andy Carroll has struggled for form in his year at Anfield and has scored just four goals in 22 appearances.
Castaignos, 19, joined Inter rom Feyenoord in the summer and has drawn comparisons with Thierry Henry for his physical stature and blistering pace.
talkSPORT revealed earlier this week that Everton were on the trail of the teenage Dutchman, but their Merseyside rivals have now entered the fray.
Inter are believed to be unwilling to let the teenager leave on a permanent deal but a loan could suit them if he is guaranteed to gain some first-team experience under Kenny Dalglish.
