Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish will have to find another £30million-plus if he wants Ipswich kid Connor Wickham and Aston Villa’s Stewart Downing.
Dalglish, who has just paid £20m on Sunderland's Jordan Henderson, will have to DOUBLE his £5.5m bid for England under-21 striker Wickham.
And he faces competition from the Black Cats, who are putting in a bid of £8m, rising to £12m after cashing in on Henderson.
Liverpool are expected to up the ante this week, and will have to at least match the Sunderland offer. They also have players available for exchange or loan.
Meanwhile, the price for Villa's unsettled England winger Downing is now £20m, as the managerless club dig their heels in.
Tottenham and Arsenal also fancy the former Boro wide man, but Liverpool want him badly.
