Metro: Reds 'close in on star'

Liverpool are closing in on agreement to sign Radamel Falcao in a £25.1million deal, according to reports.

Falcao's agents are in the process of trying to find him a new club, with Manchester United not willing to sign him permanently this summer when his loan spell expires.

Monaco are keen to sell, and reports say Liverpool are closing in on an agreement to bring the Colombian to Anfield.

It was initially thought that any deal would be a loan, but the latest suggestions are that Liverpool would pay £25.1million to get business done.
