Metro: Reds could land a bargain

Liverpool could snap up a bargain in the January sales with an £8m move for Paris Saint-Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to reports.

The Reds, along with Tottenham and Inter Milan, have been linked with the Argentine international amid reports he is not to be offered a new contract by the French champions.

PSG boss Laurent Blanc is said to be ready to listen to offers in the coming transfer window, in a bid to receive a reasonable fee for the 29-year-old before his contract expires.

And despite reports last week stating a fee of around £16m would be enough to secure a deal, it appears PSG have drastically lowered their demands, according to the Daily Express.

The newspaper are now reporting Liverpool could bring Lavezzi to the Premier League for as little as £8m, with boss Brendan Rodgers keen to add to his frontline.
