Metro: Reds eye Anderlecht midfielder

Aston Villa have scouted Anderlecht midfielder Samuel Bastien as they prepare a transfer move.

The Villans are interested in the Belgian midfielder who is currently on loan at Serie B side Unione Sportiva Avellino 1912.

And Remi Garde has sent scouts to keep an eye on the 19-year-old to track his progress, according to Irpinia News.

Liverpool are also monitoring his situation and attempted to seal a move for him in the summer.

Avellino do have the option to make his loan move permanent at the end of the season but Villa believe they can snatch a deal.
