Liverpool and Arsenal look set to go head-to-head in a battle to snap-up Barcelona's unsettled winger Pedro.
Reports in Spain suggest the versatile 26-year-old, who can play out wide or through the middle, has grown disgruntled at his lack of opportunities at the Nou Camp and is eager to move away in January.
Pedro is desperate for more playing time to nail down his place in the Spanish squad for the forthcoming World Cup and the Premier League is believed to be his favoured destination.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal are keen to bolster their attacking options during the transfer window and a player of Pedro's stature would be a strong addition for both squads.
Barca are unlikely to sell cheaply, however, with the forward's contract not expiring until 2016 - so a short-term loan deal looks the most likely option initially with the possibility of a permanent transfer in the summer.
