Liverpool have opened talks with Mario Balotelli over a move to Anfield, according to reports.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers had previously declared that he had no interest in bringing the Italian international back to the Premier League - "categorically" ruling out any move.
But the club continue to be linked with the AC Milan striker this morning, with it being suggested talks are taking place today.
Liverpool have been linked with a number of forwards during the summer, including the likes of Radamel Falcao, Alexandre Lacazette and PSG pair Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani.
Rickie Lambert arrived at the end of May from Southampton, whilst Divock Origi was also signed - but allowed to remain with French side Lille for the 2014-15 campaign.
Yet with Champions League commitments, Rodgers needs another alternative to Daniel Sturridge, and now Balotelli's agent, Mino Raiola, is said to have flown to England for talks.
