There was an amazing turnout for Gary Ablett's funeral at the Anglican Cathedral on Tuesday, writes Jan Molby.
The fact so many people wanted to pay tribute to him was a mark of the esteem in which Gary was held.
Both Liverpool and Everton were well represented but also there were the likes of Stuart Pearce, Roy Keane, Howard Wilkinson and MK Dons manager Karl Robinson, whose team had a FA Cup replay in London that night.
Anyone who came across Gary in football had great respect for him.
It was a beautiful service and Gary would have been very proud.
