Liverpool have begun looking into a move for Burnley hot-shot Charlie Austin.
The 23-year-old is the top scorer in Europe after breaking the 20-goal barrier with the Clarets - and manager Brendan Rodgers wants to see if he could fit into his Kop masterplan.
Rodgers has told staff to research Austin's background to find out what kind of man he is, and whether he has the personality needed to deal with expectation and pressure on Merseyside.
The striker made his name at Swindon after they took a chance on the former bricklayer.
Now Burnley have one of the country's hottest talents on their hands - and they are worried that he has just 20 months left to run on his contract.
The Turf Moor club are keen to tie him down to a new three-year deal.
