Liverpool are considering a January swoop for Lille and France centre-back Adil Rami.

Roy Hodgson watched Rami, 24, in Lille's 2-1 win over Monaco last Sunday and is keen to bolster his defence.

Rami also played in the win over England last Wednesday.

"Playing for AC Milan, Juventus through to Lyon or Liverpool - that is the dream of any player in Ligue One," said Rami.
