Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is preparing a double Barclays Premier League raid.
The Anfield boss will be given the financial backing or new owners NESV to make significant offers for Tottenham pair Peter Crouch and Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips, players the Merseyside outfit believe they can lure to the club in January.
With Liverpool struggling for goals and seemingly not creating enough chances in the first place, a move for new attacking options is crucial to the club's hopes of pushing their way up the table.
Peter Crouch has netted just one goal in 11 Barclays Premier League starts and may well be interested in a move back to his former club just as long as he gets some guarantees of regular first team football. Tottenham may well consider offers of around £10-12m for the 29 year old, a fee that the Spurs boss would then eagerly re-invest in the January transfer window.
Shaun Wright-Phillips is in danger of stagnating at Eastlands having managed just two Barclays Premier League starts all season. Some sources state that he could be allowed to leave for as little as £5m, which would surely be seen as a bargain buy. The speedy winger will be keen to prove any doubters wrong and would probably be interested in a move to Liverpool.
