Liverpool are plotting a move for Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez.

The Anfield club have sent scouts to watch the 20-year-old several times this season and will continue to monitor his form with a view to a bid in the summer.

Martinez has a clause in his contract, which runs until June 2015, which says he can go if they receive a £28million offer.
