MAROUANE CHAMAKH has publicly stated that he will not be renewing his contract at Bordeaux with Liverpool one of the front runners to sign the Moroccan.
The striker, whose contract ends in the summer, is said to be sought after by both Liverpool and Arsenal.
It was reported that Reds boss, Rafael Benitez, had previously agreed a £25 million package for the highly rated forward.
"I will not extend (my Bordeaux deal)" said the 26-year-old in France Football.
"I'll know more this weekend when I've talked to my advisors. I believe things must be said quickly. I believe also that the club must be set."
