Swiss international Josip Drmic has scored 16 goals this season and both Arsenaland Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing him.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal reportedly remain locked in a battle with both Liverpool and Everton, as well as Bundesliga sides Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
Drmic, a versatile forward who can play through the middle or out wide, is a player in demand after his brilliant first season in the Bundesliga. The 21-year-old has caught the eye of top clubs after emerging as Nurnberg's most important player during his first season in the senior side.
Signed from FC Zurich after scoring a plethora of goals in the Swiss league, Drmic has racked up 16 strikes (Only Bayern Munich's Mario Mandzukic has scored more goals than Drmic) in 27 Bundesliga games for a team that is currently one place outside the relegation zone.
Arsenal, meanwhile, need an out-and-out goalscorer, something that isn't offered by Olivier Giroud, Yaya Sanogo and Nicklas Bendtner.
And Brendan Rodgers may see the player's versatility as primary criteria for selection, as the former Swansea boss looking to sculpt the squad according to his own taste.
Drmic will hope to impress his potential suitors when he lines up for Switzerland at this summer's World Cup.
