Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Chilean International Mauricio Isla.
The 23 year old Udinese star, who has been capped 31 times for his county, has impressed as Udinese have maintained a title challenge Serie A with Francesco Guidolin's side currently third in the table, just three points of top team Juventus.
According to talkSPORT Liverpool are leading the chase for the defender cum midfielder who would cost in the region of 10 million pound, a sum well within the price range of the Reds, especially in light of Ian Ayre's comment that there is money available for signings if Kenny Dalglish wants it.
Isla has scored three goals and claimed one assist for Udinese in 17 league games and his ability to play in the defence, midfield or on the right wing would appeal to Dalglish who is looking for more creativity in his side following the slow start to their Anfield career's by Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing.
It remains to be seen whether Udinese are willing to do business despite the reported price tag and with just days left to end of the transfer window Dalglish and Damien Comolli will need to move fast to get their man.
