Stoke City have put a huge £20 million price-tag on Ryan Shawcross in a bid to scare off the Premier League predators.
He has been recommended to new Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, while Liverpool and Spurs are also admirers of centre-half Shawcross.
Shawcross, 22, cost only £1 million from Manchester United two years ago and Stoke boss Tony Pulis, who believes he can make a late bid to join England's World Cup squad, said: "We have made it clear he is going nowhere.
"He is a talented lad who has an important part to play at this club."
